Tao Wang 26th Annual Lorne Proteomics Symposium 2021

Tao Wang

Dr Tao Wang is an experienced Veterinary and Molecular Parasitologist, who obtained his PhD at Ghent University (Belgium) in 2014. Currently, he is a full-time postdoctoral research fellow in the Parasite Research Team in the Melbourne Veterinary School of the University of Melbourne. His research is focused on the development and application of molecular and informatic technologies to explore fundamental biology and epidemiology of different groups of socio-economically important parasites (including protists, flatworms and roundworms). For important parasites of humans and animals worldwide, he has characterised genomes, transcriptomes, proteomes and lipidomes to gain insights into parasites, parasite epidemiology, disease and host-parasite interactions.
